 a competitive learning tool in which students pit their business skills aga
 inst those of aggressive competitors under the guidance of a facilitator. S
 imulations present complex situations in an attractive interface and requir
 e the student to analyze the problems, think in strategic ways, integrate r
 esources across functions and disciplines, formulate solutions, act on them
  and deal with the consequences. This engaging form of experiential learnin
 g is one of the most effective pedagogies in business education. Teaching w
 ith Simulations is a 3-day workshop which presents an opportunity for busin
 ess faculty to learn the art of using simulations in their course.\nAbout F
 LAME FLAME University has been established as a state private university vi
 de the FLAME University Act 2014 (Maharashtra Act No. II of 2015) of the Go
 vernment of Maharashtra. FLAME University is recognized by the University G
 rants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f), and degrees awarded by the Unive
 rsity are recognized under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. \nFLAME Univers
 ity is the pioneer of Liberal Education in India. The objective is to go be
 yond the known and familiar structured and narrowly encapsulated forms of k
 nowledge. The aim is to provide students a learning experience that would e
 xcite and enthuse them. The focus is on experiencing, learning, self-reflec
 tion and self-discovery by freeing students from the traditional ways of lo
 oking at things. Spread on 60 acres of green expanse, FLAME prepares studen

 s, value diversity with desire to succeed and give their best towards excel
 lence in all spheres of life.\nProgramme ObjectivesThe objectives are to tr
 ain and equip faculty members to impart management skills to their students
  by providing an integrated perspective of business operations.  In specifi
 c terms, the participant will:\nExperience the simulation as a student to u
 nderstand its challenges and benefits \nUnderstand the complete pedagogy an
 d its value to both students and faculty\nLearn how to add a simulation int
 o your coursework\nLearn how to use the tools of management within the soft
 ware to track student progress and diagnose potential problems for subseque
 nt coaching in executive briefings; and\nLearn how to coach students to imp
 rove their situational awareness, business acumen, decision-making skills, 
 and ultimately, business success. \nWho should attendThe programme is targe
 ted for business faculty who wish to engage their students in an experienti
 al setting in their domains and in business strategy. It is recommended for
  faculty of business schools at the graduate and under-graduate level, corp
 orate trainers, business mentors and consultants. (All participants must ca
 rry their own laptop for the online simulation.)\nResource PersonsProf. Ern
 est Cadotte, the author of this simulation, will lead the workshop. He is t
 he Fisher Professor of Innovative Learning at the University of Tennessee, 
 USA. Prof. Rajkumar Phatate, Professor at the Mahindra Ecole College, Hyder
 abad along with Prof. Bharat Damani, Assoicate Professor at FLAME Universit
 y will provide active support during the workshop.\nDurationThe workshop wi
 ll be conducted from 8th January 2020 to 10th January 2020 (9.00 am - 6.00 
 pm on all days) with intensive and engaging work during the evenings. \nVen

 ulty members. However, they will have to bear their own travel, lodging and
